NationsBenefits announced that they were joining forces with ADT to bring their Personal Emergency Response Services (PERS) to those who have Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D plans in 2021. The program is being introduced as NationsResponse and is the latest supplemental benefit offered by the company.
The expansion is connected to updated guidelines and more flexibility from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). More flexibility means that Medicare Advantage plans are able to offer more benefits moving forward in 2020.
The increase in also includes hearing coverage, over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, transportation, and meals. Supplemental plans will be allowed to offer additional benefits such as adult day care, in-home support services, and more.
The partnership between ADT and NationsBenefits creates a more strategic and financial advantage that will not only help attract more enrollees, but also will keep them more long-term. The following are benefits that can ensure a hike in enrollees:
“We’re very proud to help provide safety and peace of mind through ADT Health products and services to NationsBenefits’ members and their customers,” said Jim Boyce, President, Chief Business Development Officer of ADT.
The PERS benefit is administered by NationsResponse and has the capability of two-way voice connectivity, which connects to a professional at an ADT monitoring center. A device with this service will offer extra protection for those who continue to live independently and want to continue with an active lifestyle. Members, as well as their friends and family, will feel an extra sense of security knowing that in the case of an emergency or if personal safety and security are compromised, the PERS will be able to help.
Currently, there are two different types of offerings from NationsBenefits that health plans can select. They can select either a standalone or combined plan during the Annual Enrollment period.
“It’s an incredible opportunity and an honor to work with ADT and bring to market a PERS benefit with an unparalleled member experience from two leading brands, which are deeply committed to the health and well-being of those we serve,” said Glenn M. Parker, M.D., Founder and CEO of NationsBenefits.
